In this post I will be discussing why Disney Plus is an excellent service as it relates to Star Wars content.
I know this may seem a bit obvious, but Disney Plus is truly the best resource available right now for those interested in watching any of the Star Wars movies or TV shows.
Prior to the launch of the popular streaming service in November of 2019, it wasn't quite as easy to watch all of the Star Wars content that is out there in the universe. The first 6 seasons of the popular animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" was available on Netflix for a couple years, but at no point in time were viewers able to watch all 9 of the Skywalker-based Star Wars movies, on Netflix or any other streaming service. Of course, you could buy each individual movie on DVD or Blu Ray, but the convenience of having everything all in one spot did not exist prior to Disney Plus.
There's a lot of Star Wars content out there now, and since so much of it is connected one way or another, it's really important to have everything available in once place. Disney Plus provided this, and much more.
As of today, all 9 of the Skywalker Saga movies, the 2 prequel movies, and every animated series are available to stream on Disney Plus. This is a groundbreaking phenomenon, and it adds so much convenience for viewers who are trying to get caught up on some backstory before they start a new Star Wars series. However that isn't all that Disney Plus offered. With the launch of the streaming service came many brand new shows, and new seasons of older shows. For example, when most people thought the series came to a close many years ago, Disney Plus released the 7th and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars in May of 2020. So not only did Disney Plus help organize every ounce of Star Wars content into one place, it also provided us easy access to brand new shows that fans didn't think were possible.
A Disney Plus subscription costs $7.99 per month, and gives viewers access to virtually all Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, National Geographic, and Disney content there is. As not only a fan of Star Wars, but all of the great Marvel movies and the classic animated Disney movies, I highly recommend subscribing to Disney Plus.
